The Hotel is a unique 6 room hotel with swimming pool, two kilometers north of Cahuita National Park and 200 mtr. From the nearest beach, Playa Grande and 500 mtr. From Playa Negra. 1 1/2km. to Cahuita center and the National Park of Cahuita
The swimming pool and exotic gardens are set in an ancient coral reef,10,000 year old. Professors of the Smithsonian Institute have come here to look and take fossils from the coral stone reef.
This Hotel was designed and built by a Frenchman JeanPaul Feuillatre of Nantes and his Canadian wife Elizabeth Newton. Concept of design was inspired by the many years of traveling and sailing in the Mediterranean and Africa, and restoring of a castle in Spain, where the famous poet “Garcia Lorca “ had hidden and lived for a few years. They chose Cahuita amongst many other places, to settle indefinitely and create their dream hotel, JeanPaul’s paradise. The artistic idea and thought given into each detail gives this very distinct hotel a unique ambiance of its own. As many traveller’s who come to stay repeat again and again,”when you walk into this place ,you feel harmony and peace, an unexplainable sensation of relaxation and beauty.” The warmth and charm of this place, attract many tourists to come again and again.
The Inn was inherited by their daughter,Terry Newton, after both JeanPaul and Elizabeth went on to sail higher seas in the skies above. Terry and her two daughters have been running the hotel for the last 7 years. It is meticulously kept and renewed, at all times. Often adding new aneminities such as air condition and wi-fi internet. It is a family run business, never having changed hands, and upholding its longstanding , high reputation. When guide book writers come to visit the region, it is this Inn they make their home away from home.
