Tropical Paradise On A 30 Acre Estate
Perfectly suitable as a small hotel or a large private residence. Make your vacation dreams come true with Mediterranean weather during the whole year.
It doesn´t matter if you want to run a holiday resort, raise horses or cattle, or if you just want to enjoy your retirement: the fantastic view of the gulf of Nicoya and the island of Chira offers you an enchanted opportunity to relax and enjoy PURA VIDA !
The 85°F pool is a delightful place to enjoy the lovely gardens with palms and other exotic trees and flowers. Close to the buildings there are banana, citrus, papaya and mango trees.
The buildings are constructed in an open “U“, so that from every room you can see the inviting terrace, the gardens and the gulf. A roof over the whole terrace-walkway is not only beautiful, it also gives you shelter from sun or rain.
In House No. 1 you have 5 bedrooms, 4½ bathrooms, a kitchen with walk-in pantry, utility room and a living-room with extra-high ceilings and two covered terraces.
House No. 2 offers 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living-room, kitchen with walk-in pantry and a long covered balcony. On the ground floor there is a complete separate apartment with bath. Also there is a two-car garage, utility-room, storage-room and ½ bath.
The buildings were custom-designed and built in 2008 by a renowned German architect. European quality of construction and attention to detail throughout.
The water source is an on-site well, built to modern standards, with filtration and water softening. There is a solar water heater. Attractive physical security and a sophisticated alarm system are provided. Of course electricity, telephone and high-speed internet are included.
The large building complex is located on the highest point of the 30 acre estate. You have approx. 650 yds. of street frontage which makes it possible to separate and sell parts of the land or it may be developed commercially.
Access is very easy. From the San Jose Airport it is a two hour drive via the Pan-American Highway, then 20 miles via good paved new roads, and the final 1½ miles on a good, level dirt road.
Just beyond the property, but out of sight, lies the small village of Copal. You will find the town-hall, police station, church, schools, mini-mart, various workshops and a new, small supermarket.
The area near Copal is rural, picturesque Costa Rica. Cowboys still round up their cattle with horses, oxen are used for transport of wood, and the people are friendly and helpful.
Busses pass the property on a regular schedule and they stop on call to get to Nicoya or to connect to busses to Liberia, San Jose, or other destinations.
In the city of Nicoya (half an hour by car) you have large supermarkets, a hospital, schools, university and many modern stores. In a few more kilometers you will reach Santa Cruz, with a very nice downtown with shopping in little boutiques and much more.
Not far away from the property there are two national parks: The Barra Honda National Park with its famous caves and dry forest and the Palo Verde National Park, which covers the whole area where the Rio Tempisque ends in the gulf of Nicoya. There you will find lots of water-birds, crocodiles and mangrove-forest.
Beautiful Pacific beaches are nearly. One hours driving to Samara or one and one-half hours to the city of Tamarindo. Also, in just a little more than one hour you can drive to the area of the Volcan Arenal and Lake Arenal.
