Description:

Finca Cahuita is a fantastic finca of 100 ha. The finca is located just a few minutes from the center of Cahuita and yet offers enough peace and nature. 80% are pure jungle with subdivisions, the remainder consists of pasture, bush land and small forest pieces. Several springs and small crystal-clear streams that cross the farm, beautiful waterfalls with bathtubs. The farm is adjacent to a public road, with a relatively good access. Electricity is available on the public road. The finca is suitable for private, eco-project, for self-sufficiency, or for a tourist eco-project. Ebefalls torn from this finca smaller parcels, as it borders the public road.

CAHUITA: As interesting as the cultural mix of Cahuita may be, the biggest attraction is undoubtedly the National Park, founded in 1970: it is a reserve of modest proportions but full of different forms of life. A coral reef with its "inhabitants" is just as much a part of it as rainforest and sandy beaches, and in this park one can observe a great variety of marine and land animals and bird species. Many people enter the park to enjoy the wonderful white beaches. The entrance fee consists of a voluntary donation, which is spent to maintain this project. Apart from its natural beauty and excellent beaches, Cahuita has several very good restaurants, such as La Fe, or El Típico de Cahuita, where you can try the Caribbean delicacies. Fish in coconut sauce is just one of the delicacies, but there is also the tricey rice with beans, a wide selection of seafood, lobsters and crayfish and many more dishes. There are also restaurants with more international cuisine, such as the Cha Cha Cha, where local cuisine is blended with international ones. And after dinner, we recommend a stroll through the city's bars, where live music is often offered - e.g. at Coco's o Ricky's, or at the Reggae Bar on Playa Negra. Cahuita has three beautiful beaches: the black beach, the white beach and Puerto Vargas (the latter two within the National Park), all 3 are within a few minutes walk. Of course, activities associated with beach life, such as Among other things, horse rides over the beach, snorkeling and beach walks.

Cahuita National Park; The national park covers 1,106 hectares of land, 600 hectares of coral reef and 22,400 hectares of open sea. The park was created to protect the flora and fauna of the mainland, the coral reefs and various marine ecosystems. The coral reef is considered one of the most attractive on the Caribbean coast. Also protected is a swamp forest with Yolillo and Sangrillobäumen. The park is famous for its beautiful white and black sand beaches, thousands of coconut palms, turquoise waters and coral reefs. An ideal place for swimming and resting.

The capital is Limón. The province has an area of 9.189 km˛ and 339.295 (2000) inhabitants. About 50 percent of the inhabitants are colored Caribbean descent, mostly from Jamaica. In addition to the Spanish language, an English creole language is spoken. The southern Atlantic coast of Costa Rica is still relatively unexplored, as touristic main places are Cahuita and Puerto Viejo to call. In the hinterland is the inaccessible Talamanca mountain range that gave the region its name. The rhythm of life is caribbean-relaxed, a large part of the black population speaks English and Spanish. The Caribbean Port Limon is the entry point to the coast of Southern Caribbean. Limon includes Cahuita National Park and Gandoca-Manzanillo. Many rivers from the Talamanca area bring with them a special biodiversity that differs significantly from other areas of Costa Rica. The coral banks, which consist of 35 different types of coral, are home to manatees, dolphins and more than 100 species of fish. Limón is the province of Costa Rica on the Atlantic coast.
